Prosecutor General’s Office approves accusation of ex-min Ulyukayev
MOSCOW, Jul 26 (PRIME) -- Prosecutor General’s Office has approved a letter of accusation of former Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev, the authority said in a statement on Wednesday.
The case will be submitted for hearing on the merits to the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow after a copy of the letter of accusation is included into it, the statement read.
Ulyukayev was arrested in November 2016 while allegedly receiving a U.S. $2 million bribe for a positive outlook on privatization of oil company Bashneft by Rosneft. The former minister, who can face up to 15 years in prison, is under house arrest.
